Iceland, November 2003 |
We were very lucky with the weather in Iceland, as it was clear enough for some beautiful sunrises and sunsets, as well as some stunning views of the Northern Lights. The photos of the Lights, taken from a hotel window in the middle of Reykjavik, don't really do them justice. A downside of the clear weather was that it was absolutely bloody freezing. Well, slightly more than usual anyway. Though it was only a short trip, we managed to see much of Reykjavik and the surrounding areas such as Gulfoss waterfall, the original Geysir (sadly no longer active) and the amazing landscape.
