Another physics related trip. We (along with a group from the Open University) spent a long weekend in Athens to demonstrate simple physics experiments to Greek school-children. The experiments included silencing an alarm clock, sticking balloons to walls, measuring the speed of light with a microwave and making ice cream with liquid nitrogen. We managed to find time to see some famous landmarks such as the ancient Olympic stadium and the Acropolis, as well as the occasional brief stop at a bar or two...
